We will train you, give you the opportunity to shadow a particularly large assignment, and match you with an experienced mentor. To inquire about joining a committee, contact the committee chair.

Provide Routine Administrative Assistance Throughout the Year

  • Work with the Rabbi on weekly eNews (HaMadrich)
  • Work with the Rabbi on the program guide for Friday night services (HaShavua)
  • Help with monthly flyers
  • Help with email communications
  • Assist the Rabbi with clerical functions as needed
  • Shop for office supplies locally and/or online as needed
  • Provide support for the religious school principal and teachers
  • Maintain the Emeth master/website Google Calendar

Assist Controller and Treasurer

  • Offload some of the routine financial work
  • Oversee our PayPal account
  • Become Assistant Treasurer

Help Care For Our Temple, Inside or Out

We have weekly gardening and custodial services; however, we rely on volunteers for routine kitchen and building interior tasks, as well as for support during quarterly maintenance days

    • Provide oversight of our kitchen, delegating the following tasks as necessary and ensuring we continue to meet requirements to maintain our commercial kitchen certification.
      • Update guidelines (documentation) to members on appropriate use of the kitchen
      • Keep cabinets organized
      • Monitor and help maintain paper goods
      • Defrost freezer every two months and control contents
      • Help maintain food and food storage pantry
      • Regularly organize and clean refrigerator
    • Periodically check the pockets on the seat covers in the Sanctuary and remove papers left behind
    • Assist with maintaining the library and library procedures
    • Assist with trash/recycling
      • Take recycling can to curb on Tuesday afternoons/evenings;
      • Return recycling can to back of building Wednesdays
      •  Take trash cans and yard waste to curb on Wednesday afternoons/evenings;
      • Return trash and yard waste cans to back of building Thursdays
    • Participate in quarterly maintenance days
      • Let our Building & Grounds chair know that you are willing to help out.
